Work in the making

Shared before it's finished.

One project is far enough along to show here, while the rest of this corner gets built. It isn't finished, and that's the point: a garden is as much about what is coming up as what has bloomed.

Fractal AI Horror

In the workshop · Halloween 2026

An art project that treats horror as broken mathematics. It takes folklore spirits from three cultures and encodes each as a different kind of broken rule: the Celtic bean-sidhe as grief that multiplies and never resolves, the Japanese onryo as a curse bound to a one-sided surface with no inside to wall it out, the Wendigo as hunger that grows the more it consumes. Each one becomes a fractal, an image model learns from the fractals, and the unease ends up built into the math rather than painted on top.

The thread it is chasing: that cultures with no contact reached for the same few broken shapes when they needed to give dread a form.

The generators are running and the first source fractals exist - one is below. The trained models and the finished pieces are still coming.

A cold, pale fractal on a near-black field: jagged broken spires like a ruined cathedral or a wreck rising out of darkness.
The bean-sidhe: grief that multiplies and never resolves.
The dread isn't painted on. It's in the math.
